Magdalen Nabb died on Saturday, August 18, 2007 in Florence, after suffering a stroke while out riding. At her funeral on Monday officers of the Carabinieri in full ceremonial dress formed a guard of honour for her coffin. She was 60 and is survived by her son, Liam. Her last Marshal Guarnaccia novel, Vita Nuova, will be published early in 2008.
